@Alban: I don’t really get it either and it doesn’t bother me but I’ve seen other posts where people complain about the swearing in a game that’s rated 18 because they play it with their kids. Was just putting that disclaimer so people didn’t shout at me when they heard a naughty word.

I think it may well be partly an American thing, they are really happy with violence but hung-up on sex and language.

@Yod4: Apologies, in that case please consider Far Cry 2 to be like a woman in whom the Force is very strong. MTFBWY also.

When you say “computer games are much like women”, your metaphor I understand not. Being small, green, asexual and living in a swamp, women I desire not. Not in the same way that women are desired by men. Or in the same same way that women are desired by straight men. Conclude do I that this game is attractive to look at and interesting to you. But Yoda does not see these things in human women. Only how strong the Force is in them…

I still really don’t get the state of mind of people who actually play a game involving mass murdering people and blowing up stuff but complain about “potentially offensive” music…
Oh, I don’t mind FPS at all, I quite enjoyed Far Cry by the way. But I just can’t understand why hearing fuck in a game is taboo while shooting someone in the head (still in the game of course) isn’t.

Care to explain ?
