I already use Akismet but sadly it doesn't seem to get all my spam, I think I'll try one of the other simpler non-Ajax ones. Ever since I started using my own derivative of the system I have received NO spam at all since I installed it three months ago. It also make Akismet unneeded--not having to rely on a third-party is always a good thing in case their filters play up (Which they have before).
